HOME PORT CHARLESTON OREGON
Our home port is Charleston Oregon. Charleston is part of Coos Bay and is located slightly south of the center of the Oregon coast and is the largest port on the coast between Seattle Washington and San Francisco California. Coos Bay is home to Oregon’s largest coastal deep-draft harbor, an average of 2.5 million tons of cargo move through the Port of Coos Bay. Coos Bay has approximately 10,000 people. Charleston is located just inside the mouth of the bar while Coos Bay is approximately 8 miles up the bay. Charleston is an active fishing port year round. The Oregon coast is a beautiful place to live. The climate is mild, rarely seeing freezing weather in the winter or much over 70's in the summer. Occasionally we do see snow even at sea level.....

Tigger sails well so we have had a lot of fun over the last few years sailing her and getting to know how she handles. I, having never sailed a monohull, have nothing to compare it to but I really enjoy sailing on Tigger. |
